Stamford writer creates new podcast featuring celebrity crime writer and Spitting Image co-creator

A new podcast called The Way Home Project has been launched

A writer from Stamford has created a new podcast with guests including famous crime writer Val McDermid and co-creator of Spitting Image Roger Law.

The podcast called The Way Home Project has been started by Lesley Gibson who has lived in the town for the past 28 years.

Lesley travelled the UK pre-lockdown to interview creative people about their sense of belonging.

She said: “I am looking for a diverse, creative community to call home and a real sense of belonging and, to that end, I set off to travel the UK, talking to creative people of every discipline to see why they live where they do.

“The results were often funny, poignant or revealing but, above all, they were unifying. A sense of displacement is extremely common and now, with the lockdown, the pods take on a nuance they never had before.”
