A motorbiker has been seriously injured in a collision which closed a parkway in Peterborough today.

Emergency services were called to the A47 Soke Parkway at Paston at 12.30pm today.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: "We were called at 12.33pm today (19 January) to reports of a collision on the A47 Soke Parkway.

"The collision involved one vehicle, a motorbike, and as a result left the A47 completely blocked. Officers attended, together with paramedics, and the rider suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital."
