Man arrested over fire at Peterborough property

A man has been arrested over a fire at a property in Peterborough.

Police were called at 8.55pm on Sunday to reports of a fire at an address in Clarence Road, Millfield.

The fire service attended and extinguished the blaze.

A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman: “Police are confident that no one was in the property at the time of the incident and no injuries have been reported.

“A 22-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested today (Monday) on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.”
