A man arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm in a Peterborough street has been released with no further action.

Parts of Orton Malborne were cordoned off yesterday by armed police after officers received reports of a man with a weapon in Saltmarsh.

The man was arrested and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station but has now been released.
