Person injured after car and motorcycle collision in Thorpe Road

A person has been injured after a collision between a car and a motorcyclist in Thorpe Road.

Police are telling motorists to avoid the area while one caller to the Peterborough Telegraph said traffic was building up at the Queensgate roundabout.

Cambridgeshirepolice were called at 3.15pm today (Friday, August 12) and attended.

The East of England Ambulance Service were called at 3.13pm and sent an ambulance crew.

A spokeswoman said one patient appeared to have suffered injuries which were not serious and had been taken to the nearby Minor Illness and Injury Unit.
