A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in a Peterborough street

Police were called at 7.18pm yesterday (10 November) with reports of violence in Paynels, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough.

A police cordon is currently in place at the scene.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said; "Officers and paramedics attended the scene and a man in his 50s was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with stab wounds.

"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

"No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
