Peterborough woman charged with assaulting emergency worker

A Peterborough woman who was arrested on suspicion of racially abusing someone has been charged with multiple offences of assaulting an emergency worker.

Natalie Renton, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested in Orton Northgate, Peterborough, on Monday afternoon (6 April) following reports of racial abuse.

She has since been charged with one count of racial abuse, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and criminal damage to a police custody cell.

She appeared at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday) and will appear in court again on 14 April.
