Police warning after burglary in Longthorpe area of Peterborough yesterday

Police were called at 10.20pm last night to a home in Meggan Gate, Longthorpe. Offenders broke into the property between 8:30am and 10:20pm by forcing a door.

Jewellery, collectables and a laptop are among the items taken.

Police are urging local residents to report any suspicious persons or activity in the area.

A spokesman added: “Please consider you own home security and ensure doors and windows are secured - consider leaving lights on when you are not at home. If you have any information regarding yesterday’s burglary, please call 101.”
