Ten youths were caught trespassing on rail tracks near Peterborough, less than a month after four teenagers were seen placing concrete blocks on the line near Fletton.

The British Transport Police said on Saturday (April 9) it had caught the youths on the tracks at Peakirk.

In a tweet, it said that all 10 of them had their contact details taken with further action to be taken later.

The incident comes less than a week after officers said four youths were ‘dicing with death’ by leaving concrete for a train to hit before running away.

Fortunately, no one was injured and no significant damage was caused to the train.
