Residents in Peterborough are being warned about a council tax refund scam in Peterborough.

Peterborough City Council said: “We have had a couple of reports of residents being contacted by phone and asked to pay £100 to arrange a council tax refund.

“Please be aware that this is a scam and anyone who receives such a call should report the matter to police by calling 101.”
