Motorists were being told avoid the Frank Perkins Parkway after a three vehicle collision.
The crash shortly after 8am was causing an obstruction towards Hampton.
The fire service was called to the scene.
Injuries are not known at this time.
Police confirmed at around 9am that the road had reopened.
