Burghley Park Cricket Club have been forced to cancel their historic cricket week, which incorporates a popular sixes competition, for the first time since its inception in 1959.

It’s a massive financial blow for the club who play on a picturesque ground within the Burghley House Estate.

This has prompted the club to set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ page to raise funds for the necessary improvement of facilities, most notably their glorious pavilion.

The club have been awarded a grant of £10k from Mick George Ltd to help restore the pavilion.
