Peterborough United striker Jack Marriott is a January transfer target of numerous Championship clubs, according to reports.

Aston Villa, who play Posh in the third round of the FA Cup on January 6, Sunderland, QPR, Birmingham City and Millwall have all been linked aith a 23-year-old forward who has scored 17 goals in 30 appearances in his first season at the ABAX Stadium.

Posh would expect to make a considerable profit on the £400,000 they reportedly paid Luton Town for Marriott in the summer, but a sale would seriously damage ambitions of a push for the League One play-offs.

Posh have yet to comment on the interest.
