Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony’s talent-spotting skills don’t start and end with players.

Two analysts employed by MacAnthony in the last couple of years have now found full-time work at football clubs.

Jay Socik (@Blades_analytic on Twitter) was appointed Head of Recruitment Analysis at Championship side Luton Town last week.

Socik had worked for MacAnthony with a brief to identify gifted young players using his analytic models.

The arrangement came to an end well before the start of the current season.

MacAnthony also employed Ben Davy as a scout and he took over as National League Woking FC’s Head of Recruitment earlier this year.

Davy had been watching non-league players on behalf of Posh.

“It pays to have me on your CV,” MacAnthony joked.

“Good luck to them both.”
