Former Peterborough United star Marcus Maddison could make a shock return to action for Charlton Athletic at the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday (January 19).

Maddison missed Charlton’s scruffy 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers yesterday (January 16) with an ankle injury, but his manager Lee Bowyer reckons the 27 year-old is ‘not far away from a return.’

Charlton will be without midfielder Albie Morgan who was sent off at Rovers after collecting a second yellow card for a foul on former Posh defender Jack Baldwin.
