Peterborough special school taken over by academy trust
The Phoenix School will now be known as Lime Academy Orton after being taken over by the Lime Academy Trust.
Last November the school was given a rating of ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted inspectors - a large drop having previously been rated as ‘Outstanding.’

Hide AdThe school provides education for children and youngsters aged between three and 19 with special educational needs and disabilities over two campuses in the city.
A spokesman for the school said: “We are very pleased to announce that as of the 1st June 2020, Phoenix School has joined the Lime Trust. From this date Phoenix School will also change its name and will be known as Lime Academy Orton. The CEO, Gary Pocock, and Chair of Trustees, Christopher Cole, welcome Lime Academy Orton and look forward to working with the pupils, parents and staff.”
Along with Lime Academy Orton, The Lime Academy Trust also runs Lime Academy Abbotsmede, Lime Academy Parnwell and Lime Academy Watergall in Peterborough.
