Looking back: Can you help trace anyone in these pictures from Peterborough’s past?

The first picture in this week’s selection from Chris Porsz shows Cathedral Square in the early eighties with Jacqueline Hall in the middle of a group of girls.

Jacqueline told Chris: “We were working on the Italian survey for a YTS (Scope) at the time...but I can’t remember the girls’ names. I do remember that a couple of them had Polish parents/grandparents.”

Can you help with more names?Chris is hoping to recreate some of his pictures for his latest Reunions book.

Do you remember Willys Records and Tapes in Hereward Cross Arcade pictured next?

Chris said: “Audrey Sweary is in the headscarf, Tracey Roberts is in the middle with the late Vilma Waldron far right. Who was the girl in the red top?”

The final picture shows a man hard at work on the Guildhall roof. But who was he?
