Plans for up to 13 new apartments in Peterborough city centre have been approved.

The city council has approved an application submitted for a conversion of first and second floor offices at 33 Westgate under permitted development rules.

The application, submitted by Mr V Tempopahse, said an independent noise impact assessment had been carried out after previous applications had been refused over fears of the potential noise impact.

The assessment “identified a number of measures to be carried out to reduce any impacts and make the development compatible with the neighbouring uses,” a statement submitted to the council noted.
