Police are searching for a man after an 11-year-old boy was left with minor injuries after an assault.

An appeal has been issued by police after an 11-year-old boy was assaulted in Bourne on Monday (October 10).

The incident is believed to have happened between 3:15 and 3:30pm on The Gables when the boy was cycling home.

The man allegedly kicked the tyre of the pushbike, causing the boy to fall off. The male reportedly slapped the boy in the face once he stood up and the boy sustained minor injuries.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We know the image quality is not the best, but we would like to speak to the man in the photograph in connection with the assault.
