Peterborough community centre damaged after break-in

Nene Valley Community Centre in Candy Street, Woodston, had football goals broken and its irrigation system damaged according to the Peterborough Football and Sports Development Foundation, the charity which runs the site.
A post on the centre’s Facebook page added: “We are really disappointed to have to inform you that Nene Valley Community Centre has been the victim of a break in and criminal damage over this bank holiday weekend. We have reported it to the police, and its currently being investigated. However, if anyone saw anything suspicious over the weekend please let us know.

Hide Ad“In the meantime, the community centre is still closed as per the guidelines and therefore the centre and it grounds are off limits as it is private property. Any unauthorised entry will be reported to the Police.
“We ask for your support and help in ensuring that the facility is not used or damaged in any way so that when we can reopen it will be ready to be used by everyone.
