It's believed two men broke into a van to steal tools and were attacked

Cambridgeshire Police were called to reports of violence in Peterborough at 2.23pm today (June 1).

It is alleged two men broke into a van and attempted to steal tools at Tower Court, Woodston.

Reports suggest a man in the area intervened and tried to stop one of the suspects by assaulting him with a metal bar.

Officers attended the scene, enquiries continue and no arrests have been made at this stage.
