Mini-twister over Spalding area
Spalding reader George Power’s son Freddie (11) was one of our readers who spotted the funnel cloud as they approached the town from Sutterton along the A16.
“It looked like it was over West Pinchbeck,” said George, “but then it disappeared.

Hide Ad“It was my son who noticed it in the sky and asked if it was a twister. I looked at it trying to think of an alternative explanation, as twisters aren’t really common occurrences around here, but I had to concede that’s what it was.
“We went into town for football training and as we were waiting for the ground to be opened I noticed everyone taking pics of something in the sky and I realised it was back!
“It was quite eerie and I watched as it slowly dispersed, but not before I had chance to get the camera out.”
