Residents in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire are being warned about fake “shielding letters” being sent out.

Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council said the fake letters are going out to people claiming to be from the county co-ordination hub which is supplying food to people on the Government’s official shielding list during the coronavirus pandemic.

The councils tweeted: “We’ve become aware of fake ‘shielding letters’ going out to people claiming to be from the ‘Co-ordination hub’. If you’ve any concerns regarding a letter, check out the correct information about the official Coordination Hub here: http://socsi.in/uo3ZF or call 0345 045 5219.”
