MATCH REPORT: A tale of woe for City of Peterborough in Canterbury
The hosts earned several short corners in the opening 10 minutes and converted one of them. City goalkeeper Holly Riches made a few fine saves to keep her side in touch.

Hide AdCity improved after the break, but couldn’t break down a strong defence. Player-of-the-match Emma Faux almost rescued a point, but her shot hit the post as Canterbury sealed a 1-0 win.
City remain third, four points clear of fourth. This was just a third loss in 11 league matches this season.
City of Peterborough men travel to Cambridge University tomorrow (December 3) for a second round Tier One tie in the English Championships. Their scheduled Premier A Division game at home to Bedford was postponed because of their opponents’ indoor commitments.
