David Wilson Homes has sponsored the Holywell-Cum-Needingworth Annual Village Show near its recently sold out Needingworth Park development in Cambridgeshire for the second consecutive year.

The show, which has been part of the community for over 110 years, started as a horticultural show for garden produce but in recent years has evolved into a showcase for a wide range of village interests.

Each year, over 450 exhibits are submitted in sections such as flower arranging, cooking, photography, crafts, wine making and children’s sections.

To continue its outreach to the local community, David Wilson Homes contributed £200 to support the show to help with the running costs including hall hire and prize money.

Grant Williamson, Chairman at Holywell-cum-Needingworth Gardening Club, said: “I was very pleased that David Wilson Homes helped to sponsor our Annual Village Show again. It is an extremely popular part of our local community life and the support that sponsors provide enables us to maintain this long tradition.”

The show fills the Needingworth Village Hall and is attended by large crowds of villagers who are eager to see if they have been awarded a prize. It’s organised and funded by the village Gardening Club, which has over 190 members.

Ben Kalus, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have sponsored the Holywell-cum-Needingworth’s Annual Village Show again.
