A drug dealer who used public places to hide his supply of heroin has been jailed for five years.

Daniel Kilroy, 25, of Braymere Road, Hampton, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday, February 27.

The court heard how Kilroy was first found in Fenmere Walk on December 21, 2016, hiding a package of heroin worth up to £22,000 in some reeds.

The following month on January 26 he was spotted collecting a package of heroin worth up to £2,200 from an alleyway in Teasel Way. Officers also discovered two mobiles phones and large amounts of cash.

PC Andy Savidge said: “The quantity of drugs in Kilroy’s possession demonstrated that he was supporting a large scale supply in Peterborough.

“He attempted to deter police from his home by storing his drugs in public places.

“His actions showed a distinct lack of regard for the safety of others as they were in areas where children could have come into contact with them.”
