Peterborough man due in court charged with drink driving after crash in city

A man is due in court today charged with drink driving following a collision in Peterborough on Friday (17 April).

Police were called just after midnight by the ambulance service reporting a single vehicle collision at the roundabout in Brimbles Way, Orton Brimbles.

The driver, James Learmont, 46, of Reepham, Peterborough, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after providing a roadside breath sample of 103 – the legal limit is 35.

He has since been charged with drink driving and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today.
