Frustration shown towards graffiti problem in Orton
Two junction boxes, one in The Orchards and Valence Road, and the side and rear of the shopping parade in Church Street, have been subject to graffiti.
There have also been complaints of fences and brick walls being defaced in Orton Goldhay, especially surrounding the new The Maples retirement homes.

Hide AdMick Russell of Bardney, Orton Goldhay, said: “There is a major problem with graffiti in the Ortons, as soon as one is painted over another lot appears. Fences and walls all the way through Orton are covered, even new buildings.”
A spokesperson from Amey said the junction boxes and the shopping parade are privately owned and the graffiti can not be removed without permission.
He added: “As the graffiti is located on private property, it is the land owner’s responsibility to arrange removal, which we at Amey can assist with if agreed.”
