Three fire crews called to early morning Peterborough flat fire

Three fire crews were called to a flat fire in Peterborough.

On Sunday at 4.18am one crew from Stanground, one crew from Dogsthorpe and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to Redmile Walk in Welland.

The crews were able to put out the flames before returning to their stations by 6am.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “All persons were accounted for.

“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
