Electric vehicle chargers to be introduced at Peterborough car park
and live on Freeview channel 276
The city council has budgeted £200,000 to be spent installing the charging points at Car Haven Car Park at the back of the Town Hall.
The money has been set aside to cover the next three years.
Peterborough has previously been touted as having the highest ratio of electric vehicles in the UK, while the council has also committed to becoming a net zero carbon contributor by 2030.

Hide AdA council spokesperson said: “The plan is to install a number of new chargers in Car Haven. Before we can install any new chargers we need to upgrade the electricity capacity, so we are working with UK Power Networks on this.
“Once this work is completed we will be able to install the EV chargers - the number of chargers is not confirmed at this stage.”
