Peterborough United start their 2024-25 League One season with a mouthwatering home game

Peterborough United will start their push for promotion from League One in the 2024-25 season with a mouthwatering game at home to promotion fancies Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield were relegated from the Championship last season. The first match of the season will kick of at 5.30pm on Saturday, August 10.

Posh travel to Shrewsbury and Exeter in August before finishing the month with a home match against Wrexham.

Posh have local derbies against Northampton Town (away December 7, home April 5) and Cambridge United (home November 9, away March 15).

Mansfield will travel to Posh on Boxing Day and Posh will go to Burton Albion on New Year’s Day with a home game against Barnsley in between.

Easter game are at home to Stockport County on Good Friday and away to Barnsley on Easter Monday.

Posh finish the season with a trip to Rotherham and a reunion with Steve Evans and Jonson Clarke-Harris on May 3. Posh host Rotherham on October 12.

For the second successive season the last home game is against Bolton Wanderers.

Posh face lengthy Tuesday trips to Wigan, Blackpool and Crawley.

The fixtures are subject to change as many more League One games will be shown live on TV this season.
