PT SPORTS AWARDS: Disabled Achiever: Jennifer’s excellence for 22 years is rewarded

Phoenix Academy Club member Jennifer Goodwin claimed the disabled achiever prize for consistent excellence in Special Olympic rhythmic gymnastics for 22 years.

Jennifer won three golds at the European Championships in Slovakia last year. She has also won many other gold medals at international, national and local level.

Under eight superstar footballer Oliver Chapman was a close second. Oliver has a rare cancer, meaning he has undergone chemotherapy for six years, but his passion for football shines whenever he plays for Langtoft Vikings under 8s.

Deaf footballer Will Palmer and deaf cricketer Kester Sainsbury were also nominated after gaining international recognition.
