Peterborough’s Laserforce has finally reopened in line with the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions on venues and staff say they have had great feedback from customers on the new way of working.

Laserforce has been a popular leisure activity in Peterborough for almost 20 years and like so many other businesses it suspended activity in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bosses reopened at the start of August but in order to ensure a Covid secure environment they are unable to offer party packages and public game sessions due to ongoing restrictions on indoor entertainment venues.

Instead small groups have the opportunity to exclusive hire the games arena and reception area.

The arena is available from 10am to 9pm every day, but is limited to only 6 booking per day. This allows time for the cleaning of the arena and reception area and swapping over equipment between group bookings.

To avoid the use of coins, the arcade machines have been set to free play and are available for a small fee for the duration of the booking.

Customers are advised to book online where all the special Covid terms and conditions and risk assessment are available.

Martin Nash, Laserforce Managing Director added: “The staff team are very pleased to get back to work and interact with our customers. This is very much a people business even if we do now have to keep our distance, but the initial response from the groups who have attended so far has been great, particular the three generation family groups.

“The Peterborough arena will only be operating at less than 50 per cent capacity, but like so many business we intend to survive this pandemic and look forward to a time when we are able to offer open public sessions and party packages

again.”
